Well since I am sure all you people had a glorious weekend, I thought I would inform you about my weekend. Last night was the spring Jazz concert. The theme of the concert was "Musically Incorrect." We sought to play songs that were never meant to be play by a big band and that should never BE played by one, and play them at a high level. Here was the set for the second half of the concert:

UJB2:
- Theme from Star Trek (the original series)
- Pomp and Circumstance (graduation song)
- Super Marior Brothers theme (performed by one of the jazz combos)
- Hard Days Night (Beatles)
- Smoke on the Water (Deep Purple, and with vocals)
UJB1:
- Also Sprach Zarthu... the theme from 2001: Space Odessy
- Roxanne
- Paradise City (Guns 'n Roses) w/ vocals
- Enter the Sandman (Metalica) w/ vocals
- Stairway to Heaven (Led Zepplin) w/ vocals and the famous guitar solo played on trombone note for note

The concert when over really well. The crowd has a fun time with it and the bands sounded great. Well that is the end of jazz band for the year :( My favorite class. The people in UJB2 are awesome. I will miss playing with them very much.

After the concert I went with Victor to the Relay for Life which is an event put on to raise money for cancer research. Basically just a big social event where one person from each team has to keep walking around a track. The event started 10am Sat and ended 10am this morning. It was fun. A person from my graduating class has cancer so I though it would be good to go and support cancer research.

My parents are in town for this whole week. This morning we went kayaking at Avilla Beach. Saw lots of animals like big starfish, pelicans, and seals. The seals were soo cute, they kinda remind me of weefle!! my puppy!! I miss him so much.


Well on a deeper note, I have been doing better for the most part for a while now. One a few very spread out periods of sadness/depression/angrer/other bad stuff. I guess these things just take time. I just want to take all my friends who stood by me through it. It meant a lot to me.

ANNNNNYWAYS..... enough of that.....

I am current in the middle of writing an essay for Anthropology. I went and observed people using computer and have to do a write up about it. I hate that class. die die die.

Ok well back to writing.
