A famous orchestra conductor once said: "Never look at the trombones. It only encourages them." Double that for bass trombones.

Well this is Valentines day week(end)ish. By my calculations I figure I have a less than a 1/18 chance of this being a good one. So far in my 19 year life span I have had a whooping 1 good Valentines day. That was last year. (Fresh Choice ;-) ) Other than that, every year has most or less sucked. I was one of those kids who got only a couple pieces of candy in their little bag when they used to do those things in class. One year (6th or 7th grade) my sister got hit by a car on her bike on the way to school. The rest were spent just wollowing in my own aloneness. Also hate all those valentines specials they have on tv with the more romatic episodes of tv shows, or the have really stupid made for tv movies. Yuck. Valentines day is one of the most discrimanatory holiday. It is great for those with somebody, and sucks for those who are alone.

Lauren had this song as her away message yesterday. It is a good song, we played it last year in Jazz Band. Thank you Lauren for reminding me of it.

I've got you under my skin:

I’ve got you under my skin
I’ve got you deep in the heart of me
So deep in my heart, that you’re really a part of me
I’ve got you under my skin

I’ve tried so not to give in
I’ve said to myself this affair never will go so well
But why should I try to resist, when baby will I know than well
That I’ve got you under my skin

I’d sacrifice anything come what might
For the sake of having you near
In spite of a warning voice that comes in the night
And repeats, repeats in my ear

Don’t you know you fool, you never can win
Use your mentality, wake up to reality
But each time I do, just the thought of you
Makes me stop before I begin
’cause I’ve got you under my skin
